CASTELLO DI MONTEFIORALLE

This place is incredible! So beautiful, it is amazing. I really felt that I was in a movie walking trough that cute little streets. Also, the view of this place takes out anyone breath! Definitely, it is a place that I want to come back often!

MONTEFIORALE, GREVE
Winery
I'm not sure how someone could be disappointed with this vineyard. They make it clear that it's a small family run vineyard. There are very large vineyards to visit if you want to be amazed at the amount of vines or the size of the wine cellar. For me and my wife, we did both, large and small and this place became one of our favorite memories from Italy! The drive there, the tasting, the slow pace of the presentation and the walk around the village across the street. You want all the bells and whistles and platters of cheeses and fancy presentations, go to a large vineyard. You want to see a small high quality low quantity vineyard in the raw? This is the place. Slow down, look around, walk around and get lost in the beauty that surrounds this tiny piece of heaven!

Stunning views and delicious food
We had a lovely lunch here. The view from the terrace is amazing and the service was outstanding as well as super tasty food. We went for all 4 courses as we just couldnโ€™t resist and loved every dish!

OSTERIA ALLA PIAZZA
Excellent restaurant in Chianti Classico
Ate here twice whilst staying at Casalta di Pesa. Lovely atmosphere with large outside eating area. Very good and helpful, staff speak good English but indulged our efforts at speaking Italian, appreciated. Typical food from the area with plenty of wild boar and great antipasti. Local wine from the carafe was absolutely first rate. Great service and value for money,.

CANTINE ANTINORI
20 minutes from Casalta di Pesa
The place is stunning. The modern architecture hidden in the side of a hill takes up the space of a small village.
Our guide was lovely – informative and knowledgeable – making it interesting for a non connoisseur like me.
Although the wine tasting was good, it was a little disappointing not to try their most famous wine, the Tignanello…a small drop would have done. Buying it is the answer I suppose.
